Jakyla Miller started as a GALS Intern in Summer of 2023. She is a Sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying Psychology. She previously participated in the Girls Advocacy and Leadership Series in 2021. Her group researched and hosted a webinar about mental health issues that students face as a result of the school system. That time further harbored her interest in advocacy for mental health and passion for psychological studies. Jakyla enjoys making jewelry, music, and reading self-help books. She is passionate about helping those coming from underrepresented demographics.
