Brynn joined the WCI team in 2017 as a Program Intern. After serving in the roles of Development Coordinator, GALS Director, and Executive Manager, Brynn is now our Director of Programs and Operations. Brynn has led the growth and transformation of GALS within Philadelphia and internationally, in addition to spearheading the creation of our Reducing Adolescent Pregnancy (RAP) in the Era of COVID-19 pilot initiative this year. Brynn is a creative problem-solver who is committed to improving the lives of women and girls through designing inclusive positive initiatives.
As a three-time awardee of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Reciprocal Exchange, Brynn traveled to Kenya to conduct GALS internationally in 2018 and will be traveling to Malawi for the same program in 2021, (a 2019 trip to Sudan was cancelled due to civil unrest on the ground). Brynn is on the Program Planning Committee for the Jill Melmed-Buzzeo Award and is a Delegate of the Vision 2020 National Initiative for Gender Equality, and has served as a Youth Advisor for International Connector.
Before joining WCI, Brynn worked at an English-immersion summer program at Robert College in Istanbul, Turkey, where she worked to improve children’s spoken English and designed and taught courses in the arts. Brynn graduated from Roanoke College with a B.A. in International Relations and a concentration in Peace and Justice Studies, where her thesis focused on designing an income-generating renewable energy policy for Turkey. Additionally, Brynn has a certificate in Ascending Non-Profit Leadership from Bryn Mawr College's NELI program and completed Young Involved Philadelphians' Board Prep Program.
