Public Policy Internship
Public Policy Interns will focus on conducting research and examining data regarding WCI programming and legislative priorities.
Responsibilities are likely to include:
Research legislative action that affects the WCI community
Provide support for meetings and briefings at WCI including: scheduling, tracking RSVPs, developing and assembling materials, supporting staff and writing summaries
Work with the Marketing and Communications Intern to update the WCI website and online profiles with legislative and program updates as necessary.
Superb verbal and written communication skills to communicate with multiple audiences
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and, if applicable, remotely
Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
Commitment to team work
Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
Ability to both work cooperatively with others and to work independently
Strong interest and familiarity with current events affecting women and girls, both domestically and globally
