Social Media Internship

Women’s Campaign International seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts, with a strong focus on social media. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Update and maintain WCI’s social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Twitter and Instagram updates via Hootsuite

  • Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter 

  • Assist in drafting and distributing blog posts, media alerts and other stories 

  • Designing digital marketing materials, including social media posts, graphics

  • Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications 

Preferred skills, interests and experience include: 

  • Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space (Canva, Trello, Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

  • Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations) 

  • Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications preferred

  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus 

  • An effective communicator, both written and oral 

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with internal stakeholders and community contacts 

  • Enthusiasm for the mission of Women’s Campaign International and the communities we work with

  • Strong organization skills, including ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
