Social Media Internship
Women’s Campaign International seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts, with a strong focus on social media.
Update and maintain WCI’s social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Twitter and Instagram updates via Hootsuite
Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletter
Assist in drafting and distributing blog posts, media alerts and other stories
Designing digital marketing materials, including social media posts, graphics
Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications
Preferred skills, interests and experience include:
Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space (Canva, Trello, Hootsuite, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications preferred
Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus
An effective communicator, both written and oral
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with internal stakeholders and community contacts
Enthusiasm for the mission of Women’s Campaign International and the communities we work with
Strong organization skills, including ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
