Volunteer

Volunteers are essential to the functioning of our organization.

Join Our Working Group

Women’s Campaign International fosters meaningful dialogue, sparks collaboration, and inspires collective action by way of diverse, innovative, and action-oriented programming.

Our Working Group offers volunteers a meaningful way to engage in developing initiatives both in the United States and abroad. These conversations help guide WCI’s engagement in new, emerging and existing communities.

How does it work?

Working Groups are made up of volunteers – like you – that collaborate  with us to develop specific programming and/or answers to requests for support during critical times of need.

From building STEAM-based leadership pipelines in Philadelphia and agribusiness opportunities in Latin America, to legal aid clinics in the Middle East and economic development in Asia, we have remarkable opportunities for high impact volunteering for you and your company.

Thematic Focuses

The goal of this Working Group is to develop and implement a sustainable initiative that promotes WCI’s goals of empowering individuals and communities with the skills and support to actively participate in civil society, political decision-making, and economic development. Within each of our discussions, we hope to discuss the role of, and have individuals with backgrounds in, the following five themes: Financial Inclusion, Mental Health, Storytelling, Workforce Development, and Women in Tech.

WOMEN IN TECH

Focusing on issues ranging from access to STEAM education, cyber-bullying, and and gender parity in TECH, Advisors in this Working Group address challenges both in the United States and abroad. Working together to identify opportunities for access to quality education, this Working Group promotes under-represented communities in the technology sector and promotes gender-focused pipelines where women feel safe and their talent is supported.

FINANCIAL INCLUSION

Focusing on issues ranging from financial inclusion to impact investing, Advisors in this Working Group will address political risk and investment climates, market-based approaches and growth opportunities for women-owned small and medium enterprises. Together, we will work together to harness the power of global philanthropy, to promote sustainable and responsible investment, and to supply economic opportunities for women and girls in under-served communities.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Advisors in this Working Group address the changing demands of a 21st century workforce, embracing technology in higher education, and the exploration of new models for learning systems. Working together to continually innovate within academia, our aim is to prioritize education for women and girls of color, immigrants and refugees in the United States, and to support youth entrepreneurship in Africa and Latin America.

MENTAL HEALTH

From trauma-informed disaster response initiatives in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean to decreasing mental health stigma across communities of color in the United States and globally, Advisors in this Working Group focus on innovative ways to address resilience in a holistic, integrated and scalable manner.

STORYTELLING

The primary role of Advisors is to plan and create relevant content on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and the WCI website. Together with other Working Groups, Advisors will help narrate WCI’s stories of impact. Where possible, support and contribute with the planning of special events.

Stay up to date on WCI’s work and how your support makes a difference.
