Discord likely over new push for US ratification of CEDAW

Sen. Barbara Boxer is planning a push to have the US ratify CEDAW, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. The US is one of only eight UN member states that has not ratified the Convention, which was passed in 1979.
