A global symposium on achieving gender equality targeting men and boys just wrapped up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The four-day symposium featured program strategies, research and policy implementation best practices on engaging men and boys in gender sensitive programs. The symposium also explored three themes; they were: men and violence, including sexual violence and violence between men; men and health, including sexual and reproductive health; and men, care giving, and fatherhood, including within the context of caring for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Read more about the symposium here, including the skills building workshops. Also check out the MenEngage website to learn more about post-symposium activities.
