First CAHVIO Meeting and New U.N. Database on Violence Against Women

Today the the ad hoc Committee on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (CAHVIO) will meet for the first time in Strasbourg, France. Their conference fittingly corresponds with the launch of a new U.N. database created for accessing information on violence against women.

WCI Supports Sexual Assault Awareness Month

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This year’s theme is “Preventing Sexual Violence in Our Workplaces.” There are 12,000 reports of sexual harassment on the job each year in the US and almost 50% of rape victims lose their jobs or are forced to quit.
