Nigerian Sisters Traveling to Promote Positive Images of Africa

Two sisters from Nigeria are spending the year traveling across Africa, documenting not stories of violence and starving children, but focusing instead on what makes Africa such a vibrant and hopeful place.  Their aim is to change people’s perceptions of Africa by chronicling their travels and collecting a diverse array of insightful stories and pictures from around the continent.  Their accounts describe bustling markets, beautiful scenery, and overwhelming friendliness.  Chioma and Oluchi Ogwuegbu started their trip in January in West Africa, and have so far traveled through Ghana, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Mali, Senegal, Guinea Bissau, Cameroun, Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea, and Sierra Leone.  They plan to visit 22 countries in all.
